Between 50 and 100mm (2 to 4 inches) of suspension travel is regarded as the current norm with entry-level bikes at around the £900 mark.

Zone 1 - £500-£1,000 (approx $1,000-$2,000)

Unlike Hardtails you’ll not find much in the way of Full Sussers below the £800 mark and little change out of 30lbs. These entry-level beasts are heavy.

Zone 2 - £1,000-£1,500 (approx $2,000-$3,000)

This zone continues with steadily improving componentry, there are some good quality “have a go” at any terrain, full suspension machines. However, The break-even point for full suspension bikes is in Zone 3.
